Does Kernels have custom Scouts Canada packaging?
Our exclusive Maple Caramel popcorn features a Scouts logo on the bag. All other flavours will be using Kernels standard packaging. Should you wish to add a thank you from Scouts, we have a sticker available for purchase in the Scout Shop.
Is popcorn tax receipt able?
No. This is because customers receive a product for their donation. All designated donations and top-up NOLB donations made through My Scout Group Shop are tax receiptable. Receipts will be sent out prior to the 2026 tax season.
What products do you have?
We will be introducing our very own Scout's signature flavour: Maple Caramel! Alongside 4 Kernels classics: Creamy Caramel NEW for 2026! Buttersalt, Whalin’ White Cheese, and Cheesey Dill. All popcorn comes in bags that are a bit smaller than a standard bag of potato chips(here is an image for scale). Popcorn bags will be sold at retail price between $7 and $9. Weights will vary between products due to candy-coated vs. non-candy-coated. Each flavour will be available for individual sale as well as in combo packs.

At the checkout, customers will have the option to enter a youth and/or Section they would like their order allocated to.

To donate to Scout Canada, a donor must either make a designated donation from the Scouts Canada Fundraising Dashboard or an NOLB donation. No Scout Popcorn will be sold through National during the fundraiser.
What types of payment methods are accepted?
Visa, Master card, and Amex.
How do you decide on the price of each bag?
Pricing is determined by the cost of goods (popcorn), shipping costs and yield to Groups. It is important to advertise to customers that Scout Popcorn is a donation item. Donors are supporting you group first and receiving a bag of popcorn as a ‘thank you’.
Some of the flavours were inconsistent in 2025, will this be fixed this year?
Yes. Kernels has made process and equipment improvements to bring a more consistent and higher-quality product to Scout Popcorn 2026.
Do orders come pre-assembled?
No. All popcorn is shipped in casescontaining10 of a single flavour. Once your group picks up your popcorn, it is your responsibility to create customer orders, including all combo packs.
Are there any incentives for Groups?
Earn the limited-edition 2026 Ghost Crest: If every Scout in your Group sells two cases of popcorn, each participating Scout will receive the exclusive crest.
Finish in the Top 3: The three leading Groups will celebrate with a pizza party! Winners are determined by average popcorn sales per participating youth, so getting the whole Group involved matters.
"If there are any dietary restrictions/severe food allergies in your group, you can opt for a Scout Shop gift card instead"
Become a Scout Popcorn Champion: Top Groups will also have opportunities to be celebrated on Scouts Canada social media, in Scouting in Canada Magazine, and on the Scouting Stuff podcast.
Participation numbers are determined by the number of youth entered on your registration form.
If there have been any updates to your participating youth, please submit a Service Now ticket before November 3rd.
Are there any other incentive to donors purchasing popcorn?
Yes! On the back of each bag, there is a BOGO coupon when customers bring the bag to a Kernels retail location.
Why don’t popcorn orders ship as soon as the selling period is finished?
We need to produce the correct numbers of bags needed per region before we can ship any product. This is why it is important to submit all orders collected in person as early as possible. The sooner we know how much popcorn you need, the faster it can be shipped.
Will there be any sweet flavours?
Yes! New for 2026, we have our Scouts exclusive flavour Maple Caramel as well as Kernel’s top seller, Creamy Caramel.
